It's a Small World

Using a macro lens on my Nikon camera never gets old. The magnification enables me to see details of a subject that without this lens, I'd not be able to witness. With it I am able to momentarily immerse in the world of the subject, and this truly feels like a privilege. Searching for that intact and beautiful snowflake during a snowstorm is a treasure hunt. Photographing the humorous, human-like expressions and movements of a praying mantis, or the compound eyes of a dragonfly is always a joy for me, as is seeing individual pollen granules up close.
