Prepare for Take-Off

04

Feathered creatures are fascinating to photograph. From a tiny, scintillating Anna's Hummingbird in California to a large, bright pink Roseate Spoonbill in Florida to an ordinary backyard bird, the movements and interactions among birds of a species is always a lesson in nature. Photographing an osprey dropping its catch to its babies in a large nest is an elusive treat. Capturing a tree swallow parent in the process of swooping over water to gather and feed flying insects to their open-mouthed babies is a beautiful sight that never ceases to amaze me.
